Powder Puff Football Who says that girls canlt play football? On No- vember the thirteenth, they certainly proved that they could. For the first annual Powder Puff foot- ball game, the senior and junior girls battled it out at Germania Springs. After a brutal thirty-two min- utes of vigorous play, the juniors emerged victori- ous with a 12-O victory over the seniors. For two weeks prior to the game, the girls conditioned and practiced daily under the expert coaching of junior and senior football players. The cheerleaders were high-stepping and handsomely costumed junior and senior boys. It was a great experience to change places for just one night of the year, and the over three hundred spectators who came to cheer their teams on certainly got a surprise when they saw just how rough and tumble the gals could be.
