MR. JOHN FINCH A native son of Jackson and a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Art and a Master of Education degree, Mr. Finch first taught history at our school. He served several years as elementary principal and at the beginning of this school year he was appointed to the position of high school principal. Already Mr. Finch has won the respect of all the students at Jackson High. The duties of Assistant Principal are in the very capable hands of John Worthington, the former Vo-Ag teacher of J.H.S. Mr. Worthington is a graduate of Ohio State University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in agriculture. MR. JOHN WORTHINGTON, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL AND MRS. MR. MELBRA THORNTON This year (1958-1959) Mr. Thornton moved into the newly created administrative position of Assistant Superintendent. Although he devotes most of his time to administrative duties, we can all count on him as our friend. He is always ready to lend a listening ear and to give constructive advice. MISS CAROL JEAN JOHNSON Carol Jean Johnson is secretary to Mr. Finch. Besides that she is office receptionist. MISS MAE JOHNSON Mae Johnson takes care of all the funds at the high school. She is secretary to Mr. Thornton. MRS. SUE ANN WAUGH Mr. Worthington’s secretary is Sue Ann Waugh. This is her first year as an office clerk. - 6

9 Retired, after many years of service at Jackson High School, Miss Ruth Hutchison will remain in the heart of every student who ever met her. Miss Hutchison graduated from Rio Grande College where she received an A.B. Degree. She taught geography and American History. The ad staff of the Osky Wow was guided for many years by her capable hands. Miss Hutchison will long be remembered as one of the best and most pleasant teachers at Jackson High School.
