From a mound to a mountain.........From a Freshman to a Senior. As each year passes, we grow a little more toward our goals. Again, we gain knowledge from hills, as we continue along the roads that we have laid for ourselves. Always, we must have definite things for which we must strive. 9

The man whose duty it is to make sure the administrative affairs of the school run smoothly is the superintendent. At Jackson High School that man is Mr. Kermit Daugherty. Because we do not see him too often, some of us are unaware of the tremendous amount of work and responsibility that falls on Mr. Daugherty’s shoulders. But he always finds time to take a personal interest in the students and their problems. Though he must at times crack down, it is always with the best interests of the school in mind. He has won the respect and admiration of teachers and students alike. c€uAtcxliaMb These are the hard-working men of the janitorial staff. Throughout the year these men work, sometimes far into the night, to keep our school looking neat and clean. It isn't an easy job, and sometimes it is a thankless one. They pick up the paper that we have thoughtlessly scattered around, and replace the windows that we break. And if a bicycle is broken, no one can help but one of these men. We should remember them all as good friends. LEFT TO RIGHT: Roy Hatten, Bill Warren, George McGoon, Bill Freeland. 8
