S. is very proud of the outstanding improvement that the Band has made in the past year. With the help of five members from the Cowdrey school the Band has grown in size from twenty-five to nearly forty members. Being able to have band three times a week proved to everyone that the Band was more successful this year than ever before. They have played various selections of overtures, marches, and Christmas carols for numerous occasions such as school programs, ball games, and festivals. Mr. Sharp, being the Band director for four consecutive years, and now a full time teacher, has his residence at VValden. The success of our Band is due to the time and effort which he has given us.
