AIYUKPA 1950 J.C. i-i.S. is Proud oi: its Band Standing: Lois Ross, Chloe Ann Huston, Coralie Kelly, Oden Westgaard, Barbara Hack- ley, Dorothy Lou Fliniau, Erlene Belew, Judy Goemmel, Hunter Follett, Edgar Harris, Dick Severns, Harriet Manville, Charles Hendrickson, Jerry Varner, Mr. Sharp, directorg Lorraine Sewald, Mickey Cloonan Sitting: Gaye Huston, Reggy Jo Varner, Vance Richardson, Patsy Wolaver, Norma Lee Follett, Chauncey Mankin, Hilda Brawley, Jane Manville, Bonnie Dowdell, Mary Ann Quinn Kneeling: Mimi Miller, Shirley Follett, Glenda Ann Hanson, Donna Gresham, Wilma Lyons, Carla Fliniau, Charles Fuller, Bob Manville, Jacquie Dodge J.U. ll. S. is very proud of the outstanding improvement that the Band has made in the past year. With the help of five members from the Cowdrey school the Band has grown in size from twenty-five to nearly forty members. Being able to have band three times a week proved to everyone that the Band was more successful this year than ever before. They have played various selections of overtures, marches, and Christmas carols for numerous occasions such as school programs, ball games, and festivals. Mr. Sharp, being the Band director for four consecutive years, and now a full time teacher, has his residence at VValden. The success of our Band is due to the time and effort which he has given us.
