BAND Band was started by George A. Kuch in 1939. It was directed by Mr. Kuch for two years. This year it was taken over by Ralph C. Taylor. GLEE CLUB This yeer, for the first time, glee club was made conpul sory for both boys and girls. Although the boys didn't seen to agree with the idea of their singing, they have done an excellent job, Hr. Taylor, our director, has found he has several good voices in the boys chorus. This year the glee club has sung at band dances, Con- mencement and Baceulaureate. The most important undertaking was the operetta, Bits of Blarney. This was performed by a picked chorus from the two glee clubs. QMUSIC AWARDS For the first time, this your chenille lyres were given to the ten most outstanding music students.
