Along with the sports program come the associated clubs -- BOOSTER CLUB qabovey and LETTERMEN'S CLUB fbelowj. Supplying a good deal of the noise, the excitement, and the electric atmosphere, the Booster Club is present at all basketball and football games. Even though the club has never won a game directly, it as undoubtedly contributed to the Eagles' victories many times. President: Bette Salsbery. The Lettermen's Club draws its membership from those who have lettered in athletics. Besides their initiation of members, the Lettermen's Club sponsors dances fremember the Hobo Ball?J and makes an annual trek to a college football game. President: Dan Kerfoot. -29-

The Jackson Central SCIENCE CLUB fabovej is a nucleus of students interested in science. Encouraged toward individual research, members of the club may also participate in field trips and in after-school use of the Chemistry-Physics lab facilities. The Science Club is open to all interested students. President: Ken Jarchow. Although it is unlikely that the girls at Jackson Central will corner the sports market, they have taken their own little chunk of it through the formation of the GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION. Working toward awards -- pins and chevrons -- the girls earn points in various sports, from basketball to track. President: Peggy Boyer. -28-

Our rural community produces the perfect back- ground for the foundation of several agricultural clubs. The extremely active FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA fabovej is open to all those interested. Several county and state awards have fallen victims to this competent club and its enthusiastic members. President: Dave Leach. A miniature co-operative forms the perfect back ground for valuable experiences in farming. Con- trolled by a student board of directors. the JUNIOR CO-OP fleftj sells shares of its stock to F.F.A. mem bers participating in the co-op. Chairman of the Board is Steve Ehman. 4-H means more than just another club to many of its members. Through this club, they may gain experience in any field of agriculture which they choose as well as concrete knowledge of many non-agricultural professions.
