D CD ION For Those sTudenTs who have special inTeresTs and TalenTs Tor dramaTics, The superb TaculTy oT MorTon's dramaTic de- parTmenT gives a wonderTul opporTuniTy To sTudy dramaTics. ATTer careful insTrucTion The sTudenTs presenT plays in school and To The public: This year WesT Side STory, The Heiress, and The Boy Friend were given in The l.iTTle TheaTer and in MorTon WesT's audiTorium. WesT Side STory was This year's all disTricT play. Some 700 people, in all, were connecTed wiTh The sTaging. A combined all disTricT band was chosen Trom The MorTon schools To add The musical loaclcground To The play. Those who saw WesT Side STory will agree ThaT iT was a greaT producTion. No sTudenT is Too young Tor WesT Side STory and no adulT is Too old. IT uses song, dance, and drama as media oT expression as no oTher music-drama has succeeded in doing. IT elevaTes The hearT as iT unveils iTs Thesis clearly and honesTly. This scene, from WesT Side STory, is The dance aT The gym wiTh The members of The Sharks and The JeTs.
