i 1 i l The Seasons The seniors will always remember their high school years cmd the life that was a part of those years. ln some ways, those years can be compared with the seasons. Fall is the season when nature begins to prepare for its repose from the world. Beginning high school we were afraid and unsure of our- selves. We did not know what to expect. At that time we be- lieved we were entering a world of hardships. We were nei- ther smart nor clever. We were devoid of common sense. Our behavior was immature. However, we met the challenge of high school and entered the first of our four years of learning. Winter is the season in which life lies dormant. The new main entrance on Austin Boulevard is a fine example of the remodeling that the building has undergone during the previous summer months. l Some of us looked back upon our years in high school with dissatisfaction and boredom. However, the greater per- centage of students seeing that the type of education they received in high school was a must in their future lives emerged from their immaturity and made the most of those four years. Spring is the season when nature emerges from inactivity into vitality and richness. Finally we reached the height of our high school educa- tion, graduation. Not only have we achieved a higher scho- lastic rating, but we have also learned some of the basic rules of life. Thus, those four years in high school are the bases for our future success in the world. Since the seasonal mood has been established, it is only fitting to review the school year T962-T963 through its chang- ing seasons.
