They viewed movies, heard guest speakers, and visited many corporations and retailers to get first hand opinions and views of the business world. F.B.L.A. was one of the largest organizations in the school this past year. The club sponsored various sales during the year. The proceeds from these sales was used to finance visits to some of the larger industrial concerns in the area. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA . . .The Future Teachers ot America, under the guidance of Mr. J. S. Everett, tried to acquaint the mem- bers with the responsibilities and opportunities ot the teaching pro- fession. The objective of the organ- ization was to cultivate the char- acter and leadership necessary tor a successful career in teaching, By holding informal discussions, the members learned how teachers re- ceive their training, the cost ot a college education, and the stand- ards a teacher must meet. FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERI- CA , . . The purpose ot the Future Homemakers ot America was to acquaint the members with the var- ious aspects ot home economics. The members studied and enjoyed all the facets ot homemaking. They planned many events during the year. The major activities of F.H.A. were their Halloween and Christmas parties. They made all the refresh- ments tor their parties. The high- light ot the year took the torm of an international dinner. The mem- bers made their own exotic dishes for the affair.
