The purpose ot Latin Club was to better acquaint the members with the glory and grandeur of old Rome. Under the direction of Miss D. J. Batson, the members achieved this goal by a Roman banquet, a Roman newspaper, and other activities throughout the year. FRENCH . . . The purpose of French Club was to broaden the students' knowledge ot the French people and their customs. This goal was accomplished by a visit to a French restaurant and by having several guest lecturers who spoke to the club members about their trips to France. The highlight ot the year for the members ot German Club was the German Christmas Program which was put on tor the benetit ot their parents. The pro- gram consisted of several dances, two skits, and an explanation of the various German Christmas Cus- toms. This was only one ot the many activities the club sponsored during the year.
