Homecoming 1978 is history now — but while it lasted, it was the best and most spirited homec oming week Johnson has ever experienced. The week began with Jersey Day, then proceeded to unfold with Lick 'Em Day, Hat Day, Blue and Gold Day, and, finally, 50's Day. The students showed their school pride by making each day a success. Once again the Jaguars tamed the Tigers by trampling Grissom 26-16. Halftime was highlighted with the c rowning of the 1978 Homecoming Queen, Miss De tra Battle. The two senior attendants were Miss Claudia Cummings and Miss Michelle Boyd. The Junior Maid was Miss Janic:e Washington. The Sophomore Maid was Miss Monica Scott, and the Freshman Maid was Miss Evelyn Ford. 16

(2tovjn S(io 07 TALENT On November 16, 1978. the Choral Depart- ment presented Johnson High School's annual Talent Show. The program held entertainment for everyone, with everything from a rock band to the Masked Hamboner . The emcee was Mr. Kenneth Atkins. Prizes were awarded to the following people: First plaee went to Tara Jamar for the dramatic reading of The Black Clown”; Second place went to Marla Sanders for singing Theme from the Eyes of Laura Mars ; and third place went to Dahlene Davis, (not pictured), for singing This is Your Life”. 18
