VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL CENTER Future Farmers of America: A national organization of students engaged in training for employment in agriculture, horticulture, and floriculture. FFA competes in various contests on a local, district, state, and national level. Future Business Leaders of America: A national youth organization for all students currently enrolled in at least one business course in high school. The activities for FBLA provide an opportunity for business students to prepare for business and office occupations. Vocational Industrial Clubs of America: A national organization of students engaged in training for any one of several trades offered at the Technical Center. The students are eligible to participate in the Skill Olympics on the local, district, state and national levels. VICA also sponsors various fund raising and social events. Trade proficiency and leadership ability are two highly stressed areas in VICA. 296
