ESCAPADES 1978 Every year the seniors of most high schools present a set of skits called escapades. We were very lucky here at Johnson to have Mr. Ron Harris direct the Senior Esca- pades this year and every year. Several people should be recognized also, for their participation in the Escapades. Ms. Clements wrote the dialogue, John Ryan headed the building of the set, and James Woolsey was the student director. The theme this year was to show the students upstairs in Ms. Clements’ house working on ideas for the Escapades. As they came up with ideas, the ideas were shown underneath them on stage switching from one set to another. The main purpose of the Escapades was to create pleasant memories of high school for the graduating sen- iors. This was accomplished in the movie, “A Day in the Life”, where everyone had a chance to act crazy. This was photographed at the old airport and Elisa Clark headed it. T.V. takeoffs were a re-enactment of Charlie’s Angels, a game show, the Tonight Show, and a soap opera. Slides were shown of famous couples, and then couples acted out what happened after the shot. 186

Miss Lisa Jose was chosen Miss Congeniality by the contestants. The Master of Ceremonies was Mr. Rick Davis from WAAY TV.
