RIGHT PAGE: Upper Left: Debbie Thompson is Senior Class Treasurer and a member of the Jag- uar Staff. She is also a member of the Anchor Club, Drama Club, Thespians Society, and Iota Eta Sigma sorority. She has been in two plays. THE GREAT CROSS COUNTRY RACE and SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY. Her hobbies are tennis, hiking, bicycling, and sewing. Debbie will attend Middle Tennessee State University to study Biology. Upper Right: Billy Viall is a mem- ber of the golf team. He Is a member of Interact Club of which he holds the office of Vice-Presi- dent. His hobbies include water skiing, scuba diving, golfing, hunting, and camping. Billy will attend Birmingham-Southern College to major in pre-med. Center Left: David Waller is active in football and track. He was chosen for the All-City Football Teams of both the HUNTS- VILLE TIMES and the NEWS. He is also a mem- ber of the Quarterback Club All-Star Team. He is a member of the Interact Club. His hobbies are speleology, mountain climbing, and camping. He will attend the University of North Alabama to major in biology. Center Right: Danny Whitner. is a member of the varsity football team. Awards he has received include. All-City Football Team and Quarterback Club All-Star. He is a member of the Math Club. Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and National Honor Society. His hobby is electronics. He will major physics in college. Lower Left: Joni Wiley received a Span- ish award for high scholastic award from Spanish Club of Huntsville. She is a member of Junior Civitans, Spanish Club, and the National Honor Society. She was a volunteer worker for the Huntsville Achievement School for two summers. Her hobbies are tennis and needlepoint. Joni will attend UAH to plan a career in special education or natural animal scientist. Lower Right: Eva Young has received awards in Spanish and track. Activities she is involved with include, track, cross-country, volleyball, newspaper. Honor Society, basketball and Mu Sigma Theta. In the community she has helped with retarded chil- dren. Her hobbies include tennis, poetry, sports, and hiking. Eva will attend Auburn to major in Medical Technology or Veterinary Medicine. 133

She was elected into National Honor Soci- ety, chosen as a Key Club Calendar Girl and selected to be varsity cheerleader captain in her junior year. She is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Iota Eta Sigma sorority. Her hobbies are swimming and tennis. Lisa will attend the University of Alabama to study bank- ing. Upper Right: Lori Stowers is a varsity cheer- leader and a member of the gymnastics team. She was 9th grade Valentine's Sweetheart. She is a member of the Anchor Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Delta Chi Omega sorority. Her hobbies are bowling, dancing, gymnastics, swimming and tennis. Lori will attend Jackson University to major in physical education. Cen- ter Left: Cathy Tanner is a member of the year- book staff. volunteer council (vice-chairperson), Speology Club, Art Club and Civitans. Her hob- bies are sewing, cooking, bowling, and going to movies. Cathy will attend a business college to pursue a career in secretarial work. Center Right: Robin Tate has been involved with cheerleading, dance team. Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, An Club, and National Honor Society. Awards she has received include, fresh- man most outstanding, sophomore and junior class favorite, junior maid in Spirit Coun, and Madison County's Junior Miss. She is chaplain and secretary of FCA, and in Delta Chi Omega sorority. She is a member of Dunnavant's Teen Board. Her hobbies arc swimming, skiing, music, sewing, and dancing. Robin will attend Auburn University to be a stockbroker or youth director in church. Lower Left: Karen Taylo is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Ecology Club, Inter-Club Council and ESAA. She was elected into the Society of Outstanding American High School Students and Optimist Club Outstanding Girl. She was a dele- gate to Girls’ State and the Presidential class- room. Her hobby is cooking. Karen will attend Vanderbilt's School of Nursing. Lower Right: Charlotte Thompson is a member of the dance team. She attends Union Chapel M.B. Church. Other activities include Omega Beta Upsilon, Election Committee, Senior Homeroom Captain and ICC secretary. Charlotte was elected as an Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante. Her Service to the community includes making toys for children and providing entertainment in hospitals. She loves to sew. dance, play the piano, read and cook. Charlotte will attend Alabama A M Uni- versity majoring in accounting. 132
