She is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Iota Eta Sigma sorority. Her hobbies are swimming and tennis. Lisa will attend the University of Alabama to study bank- ing. Robin will attend Auburn University to be a stockbroker or youth director in church. Lower Left: Karen Taylo is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Ecology Club, Inter-Club Council and ESAA. She was elected into the Society of Outstanding American High School Students and Optimist Club Outstanding Girl. She was a dele- gate to Girls’ State and the Presidential class- room. Her hobby is cooking. Karen will attend Vanderbilt's School of Nursing. Lower Right: Charlotte Thompson is a member of the dance team. She attends Union Chapel M.B. Church. Other activities include Omega Beta Upsilon, Election Committee, Senior Homeroom Captain and ICC secretary. Charlotte was elected as an Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante. Her Service to the community includes making toys for children and providing entertainment in hospitals. She loves to sew. dance, play the piano, read and cook. She is also a member of the Youth Council and Youth Choir at Highlands Baptist Church. Her hobbies include all types of dance (ballet, jazz, tap), swimming, water skiing, horseback riding and bicycling. Christie is planning to attend the University of Ala- bama to major in medical technology. Upper Right: Karen Nance is a member of the newspaper staff, ecology club, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Volunteer Council, and Election Committee. Her hobbies are reading, cooking and camping. Karen will attend Auburn University to become a wildlife manager. Pam is planning a major in education of the deaf. Center Right: Mike Poliak played Varsity Football and Junior Varsity Basketball. He also played golf. In her sophomore. and junior years she was secretary of the Choral Department and in her senior year she was President of the Cho- ral Department. She has participated in All-City and All-State Choruses. She has also participated in District and State Choral Competitions as a soloist. Awards she has received include Superior ratings in District and State Choral soloist competi- tions and Outstanding Girl Choral Student in District I. She was the Senior Magazine High Salesperson. She is a member of Anchor Club (Chaplain. Senior year), National Honor Society (Treasurer, Senior year), and Modem Music Masters (Secre- tary, Junior and Senior years). She has helped the American Cancer Society and the West Side Neighborhood Clinic through Anchor Club. Her hobbies are piano and singing.
