LEFT PAGE: Upper Left: Mark Kemp is an active member of Student Government. He was In the Senate in his Sophomore and Junior years. He is president of the Senior Class. The Anchor Club elected him as their sweetheart. He is involved with I.C.C.. the National Honor Society and church activi- ties. His hobbies arc scuba diving, hunting, fishing, speleol- ogy, hiking and camping. Mark will attend the University of Alabama to study criminology. Upper Middle: Angie Kerr is a member of the Jaeuarettes (treasurer, all years, co-captain, junior year). Anchor Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Honor Society and Delta Chi Omega sorority. She was secretary of the sophomore and junior class. Her hobbies are reading and swimminc. Angie will attend UAH to major in nursing. Upper Right: Mark Komaro has been involved in basketball, baseball, and golf team. He was a representative to Boys’ State. Mr. Defense, Second Team All City Basketball, and Most Out- standing Golfer (1974). He is a member ofE.S.S.A.P., Inter- act and Young Life. His hobbies are tennis and ice hockey. Mark plans to attend Auburn University in Montgomery of St. Bernard. Center Left: Dorothy Lindberg's activities include Varsity Cheerleader, Iota Eta Sigma Sorority, toe and tap dancing and Volunteer Council. She was elected to the Society of Outstanding American High School Students. She was a class favorite in her sophomore and junior years and was elected as Senior Maid of the Homecoming Court. She was Miss Congen- iality and first Runner-Up for Junior Miss Pageant in 1974. She was also a Key Club Calendar Girl. Organizations she is in include, Student Government, National Honor Society, Anchor Club (Vice-President) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Treasurer, junior year.) She has done volunteer work at Big Springs Manor nursing home and organized work for projects with the American Cancer Society. Her hobbies are art, meet- ing people and swimming. Dorothy will attend Auburn Univer- sity to study veterinary medicine. Center Right: Kaye Lucas was chosen as a member of the Outstanding American High School Students. She is a member of the Ecology Club (Presi- dent), Drama Club, National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, I.C.C. and Voluntary Council. Her com- munity activities include membership in the Sierra Club and Alabama Conservancy as well as participation in the Coordi- nated Recycling Committee. Kaye will attend Florida State University to major in clinical psychology . Lower Left: Robert Malone Is a member of the Varsity Football Team. He has received several awards which include Player of the Week, Most Valuable Player for the city, All City Team, All State Team, and All American. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His hobbies are basketball and fishing. Rob- ert will attend North Alabama State University. Lower Right: Jo Ann Milburn is a member of the band, Majorettes (head), ten- nis team. Anchor Club (secretary). National Honor Society, Mu Alpa Theta (Secretary Treasurer), and Kappa Phi Sigma sorority. In her sophomore year she was Vice-President of her class. In her senior year she received the DAR Good Citizen Award. In the community she is a candy striper, library aide at Oak Park Library, and volunteer at Huntsville Achievement School. Her hobbies are baton twirling, clarinet, piano and tennis. Jo Ann will attend Auburn University. 130

Center Left: Sharon Hil- dreth is a member of the Sears Teen Advisory Board and also of the Student Government House of Representatives. Awards she has received include Outstanding Teenager of America 1975, fourth Runner-up Johnson High First Beauty Walk, Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante 1974. She is a member of I.C.C.. Anchor Club, Art Club, Future Homemakers of America and Kappa Delta Kappa, the latter two of which she is President. She is active in church activities and works with the Harris Home. Her hobbies include piano, cooking, sewing, horseback riding, reading, traveling and meeting new people. Sharon will attend Alabama A and M University, majoring in pre-med. Center Right: Frank Humphrey is a member of the Varsity Football team. For his participation in football he has received many awards which include three All-City Teams in 1973, three All- City Teams in 1974. All-State Football in 1974, All American Football in 1974, Most Valuable Defensive Lineman 1973-74, and Team Captain 1974. His hobbies are basketball, pool 3nd swimming. Frank plans to major in business or law In college. Lower Left: Janice Jamar has been active in the Student Gov- ernment Association as a homeroom representative. She is a member of the dance team and is the 1975 chaplain. She has been a member of the Johnson Chorale and Lyriques. She is a member of Kappa Delta Kappa and Omega Beta Upsilon sorori- ties. the latter of which she is the historian and chaplain. She is also a member of the Literary Club. Some of her community involvements are the Pizity Teen Board, MYF President, church choir and soloist, and visits to the Huntsville Rehabili- tation Center. Awards she has received are the State Choral Competition (1973-74), certificate and medal for State Soloist (1974) and All-City Chorus. She has been elected to member- ship in Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Alabama A and M. Jan- ice’s hobbies are singing, writing, reading, dancing, research and caring for animals, playing the piano. She is going to attend Alabama A and M to study musical psychology. Lower Right: Laura Kelly is Secretary of the Student Government Association of which she has been a representative of for three years. In her sophomore year she was a Varsity Cheerleader. She is also a member of the Youth Council and Youth Choir at Highlands Baptist Church. Her hobbies include all types of dance (ballet, jazz, tap), swimming, water skiing, horseback riding and bicycling. Christie is planning to attend the University of Ala- bama to major in medical technology. Upper Right: Karen Nance is a member of the newspaper staff, ecology club, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Volunteer Council, and Election Committee. Her hobbies are reading, cooking and camping. Karen will attend Auburn University to become a wildlife manager. She has participated in All-City and All-State Choruses. She has also participated in District and State Choral Competitions as a soloist. Awards she has received include Superior ratings in District and State Choral soloist competi- tions and Outstanding Girl Choral Student in District I. She was the Senior Magazine High Salesperson. She is a member of Anchor Club (Chaplain. Senior year), National Honor Society (Treasurer, Senior year), and Modem Music Masters (Secre- tary, Junior and Senior years). She has helped the American Cancer Society and the West Side Neighborhood Clinic through Anchor Club. Her hobbies are piano and singing.
