RIGHT PAGE: Upper Left: Donza Caihcy is vice-president of the Senior Class and is a member of Kappa Delta Kappa sorority. Other organizations with which she is involved are dance team, election committee. Golden Jaguars and the French Club. She has been involved with two Drama Club productions. GOD'S TROMBONES and THE GREAT CROSS COUNTRY RACE. In 1972 she won second place in a science fair. She was elected to the ten finalists for the second annual Beauty Walk. She has worked as a tutor for Teacher Corps, participated in programs concerned with child care and the Harris Home. Her hobbies are piano, horseback rid- ing, swimming, collecting dolls and stuffed animals, read- ing and travelling. Donza will attend Hampton Institute majoring in political science and minoring in pre-law. She hopes to become involved with foreign affairs or become a politician. Upper Right: Jeff Chovan is a member of the varsity basketball team. He was a member of the All City Basketball Team (sophomore and junior year). Most valua- ble player B team (sophomore year), and Region 8 Tourna- ment Team. His hobbies are hunting and fishing. Jeff will attend the University of Alabama and become a dentist. Center Left: Karla Counts is a member of the Drama Club. She was homeroom captain in her senior year. She has been active in Church activities, a volunteer worker at Extcndi- care. Her hobbies are horseback riding, playing the piano, and cooking. Karla plans a career in either music or accounting. Center Right: Dan Crane is a Senate Member. He received a William Randolf Hcarst Scholarship nomina- tion. He is a member of the National Honor Society. The Key Club, and Mini Coupes Inc. His hobbies arc water ski- ing, caving, hiking, swimming and beer can collecting. Lower Left: Robby Creekmore has been a member of the Jaguar Staff for three years. He has participated in several dramatic productions which include, WAYS AND MEANS, GREAT CROSS COUNTRY RACE. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY. Organizations he is involved with are the National Honor Society. Drama Club and Ecology Club. His hobbies are drama and tennis. Robby will attend the University of Alabama to major in Zoology. Lower Right: Army Daniel III is Vice-President of the Student Government Association and President of I.C.C. During his Sophomore and Junior years he was on the R.O.T.C. Drill Team. Awards he has received include Outstanding American High School Student, Who’s Who Among American High School Students, National Achieve- ment Semi-Finalist, and election into the National Honor Society. Clubs he has been a member of are Art. Key, Math, French, Ecology, and Chess. He was in the band in ninth grade. He is on the E.S. A. A. Advisory Board. His hobbies are reading, writing, horseback riding, tennis, bowling, movies, and study of history on his own. Army will attend Trinity University In San Antonio, Texas. 127

He has been a member of All State Band through- out high school and was elected Outstanding Soloist at the Birmingham Jazz Festival. He participated in the Scholar's Bowl and was elected into the Society of Outstanding High School Students. He is a member of ICC, the Math Club, National Honor Society. Science Club and Spanish Club. He is president of his church's youth group. His hobbies are music and basketball. Tom will attend UAH to major in physics with a minor in Biology. Upper Right: Rita Baxley is a member of Chorale. Madrigal Singers, Lyriques Ensemble, National Honor Society (corresponding secretary, senior year). House of Representatives. Inter-Club Council, Modern Music Masters (treasurer, junior and sen- ior years) and Junior Civitans (vice-president: junior year and president, senior year). Center Left: Rhonda Beddingfield is Anchor Club presi- dent. She is also president of Iota Eta Sigma sorority. Rhonda is a member of the National Honor Society, Inter-Club Council, French Club and Volunteer Council. In the 1973 Johnson Beauty Walk, she was chosen Miss Congeniality. She was a member of the All City Chorus in her freshman and junior years. She was Drill Team Captain in her freshman year. In the community she has been a Red Cross Volunteer, helped with the stuffing of stockings for Christmas Charities and given parties for Big Spring Manor Nursing Home residents. Her hobbies are swimming, ten- nis, spending time talking and being with friends and music. Rhonda will attend Auburn University to be a medical technologist. Center Right: Pam Blevins is secretary of the Senior class. In her sophomore and junior year she was a senator. She is a member of the Madrigal Singers Ensemble. Chorale. Tri-M and was the choral's homecom- ing sweetheart. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and Anchor Club. She has served her community through church and service clubs. She is a member of Iota Eta Sigm3 Soror- ity. Her hobbies include singing, hiking, piano and listening to music. Pam will attend the Uni- versity of Alabama and pursue a career in medi- cine. Lower Left: Lea Bradford is a treasurer of the Student Government Association. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society. Iota Eta Sigma Sorority, Love- man's Teen Board and Young Life. She is also a member of ESAA. Her hobbies are sewing and doing crafts. Lea will attend Auburn University. Lower Right: Caren Carden is a member of the Yearbook staff. She has been a member of the All-City Chorus, Johnson High Chorale, Madri- gal Singers ensemble, and Lyriques Ensemble. Her hobbies arc art, repelling, water skiing, gymnastics, softball, and cheerleading. Teia will attend Auburn University and major in inte- rior design. In the community he has helped Cerebral Palsey, Christmas Charities and E. S. A. A. His hobbies are listening to music, skating, and attending athletic events. Cedric plans to attend Tennessee State University to major in business administration. Lower Left: Jon Gahan is a member of the R.O.T.C. Drill and Rifle teams. He was elected to Who’s Who Among American High School Students and a National Merit Semifinalist. Organizations he is in are Student Government, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Key Club, Chess Club and Science Club. His hobbles are bicycling, bowling, football and tennis. Jon will attend Vanderbilt University to major in Engineering. Lower Right: Dennis Gray is a member of the football and baseball teams. In his freshman year he was voted most popular, in his junior year he was voted a class favorite. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His hobbies are water skiing, fishing, hunting, bowling and ten- nis. Dennis will study forestry in college.
