When we were first born, we walked on clouds and beneath the seas, and day and night were as one, and we moved with the winds of the clouds and the tides of the seas. And as we grew older we began to perceive, we began to acquire wisdom. And with the wisdom came joy, and with the joy came confusion, and with the confusion came quest- ions. And the questions still are not answered. As our infant eyes opened to the light of day and the darkness of night, this earth became our sea, and the pulsating tides and the living winds became humanity, and the clouds became our dreams. And the earth took shape, and we hved. Our lives have become a search, and all the things that we feel on earth become molded into our spirits. And we share our spirits through friendship.

All of us together are seeking the same things — a place where we belong, something to believe in, some- thing to love, something to respect. We know nothing of ourselves because inside us is uncertainity; we know nothing of our fellowmen, because we know nothing of ourselves. And then, suddenly, there is a vital something in our lives, and we know, without knowing why or how we know, that our fears, our doubts, our dreams, are not solitary ghosts within our own minds, but are a part of all men. So we understand that this thing we feel is only life, that what we feel has been felt by Humanity since Creation, and will be felt until the earth is no more, and there is no being among us who is remote from its power. 10
