In the past, it has been a tradition for the Seniors to donate money to a Senior Scholarship fund. This money is given to seniors who in their last year find that for some reason they will not be able to complete their education. This method of donation has not been very successful recently and this year's Senior Class has implemented a new method for obtaining these funds. In January the Senior Class opened a franchise of Penny Lane Candy at the newly rennovated Union Desk. Students are able to purchase Licorice, Tootsie Ftolls, Chocolate, various types of peanuts and bubble gum. lf fully utilized by students, the candy shop is expected to make anywhere from 3200.00-3500.00 a week. This would mean that a minimum of 3100.00 a week would go into the scholarship fund. At this point it seems as if the Senior Scholarship fund may be quite large.
