ACT II, SCENE 3 MRS. GEORGIA FLANAGAN Coach UlUitei Spatia Qvtty’ ffiaaJkeifhM IhLliUf iiLl For the first time, Iowa Park High School has an organized girls’ basketball team and plays in the district competition. Due to their inexperience, the girls are unable to win a game, but they make a creditable showing, proving to their fans that they will be serious contenders in the district next year. The volleyball teams, both A and B”, have a most successful season. The A team wins all of its prac- tice games throughout the season, defeating twice the teams from Valley View, Holliday, Burkburnett, and Electra. At the district tournament in Chillicothe, held to determine the championship of the district, our girls lose to Holliday in a hard-fought struggle. The volleyball B team plays eight games during the season against Holliday, Burkburnett, Electra, and Valley View, winning six and losing one each to Holliday and Valley View. BASKETBALL TEAM Front row: Rose Mary Low, Violet Brott, Sandra Fenner, Barbra Walker, Joy Scott, Hersel McAnally, Caroline Sewell Back row: Ann Vestal (manager), Patsy Harrell, Pauline Toler, Roberta Butts, Judy Pyle, Doylene Mor- gan (manager), Georgia Flanagan (coach)
