SENIOR HONOR BOARD This is to let you know what the Seventy-five members of the Senior Honor Board with the big 49’s on their right shoulders have been doing this past school year. They began the year by serving as guides the first day of school. Since then they have guided at assemblies, served at banquets and acted as traffic guards. Some of the more masculine members have guarded the halls during X Period and have helped at football gams. The members also had a banquet which climaxed their busy year. THE INGLEWOOD SENTINELS Eevryone knows this little Chief, He steals your heart just like a thief. You see his picture everywhere. His impish look erases care. His girl companion is also sweet, We often wonder when they did meet. They certainly make a lovely pair With Hagle feathers in their hair. They symbolize a lasting spirit That each from high school should inherit. And when you see their smiling faces Your frowns their cheerful smile replaces. The way they seem to stick together, As age old birds of a feather, Is just as all from Inglewood High Should hold together, do or die. Some one should find a name for them Like ”Bashful Chief on fenny Wren.” But give them praise in Song and Rhyme Throughout the year of ’’forty-nine.” James Sutton.
