The team opened up their season with a pair of losses, but rebounded back to trounce Liberty 12-0. Redmond 5-0 and then Issaquah 1-0. The Vikings most enjoyable win of the season was a 3-1 shellacking of the Bothell Cougars. It wets the first regular season win for Inglemoor over the arch-rival Cougars. Inglemoor was well balanced throughout the entire squad. On defense. Pat Clarke played well in goal and captain Harry Rodin led the fullbacks with his outstanding play. John Carroll and Graham Allan controlled the midfield, while Karl Dawley and Tom Reddy led the Viks scoring attack. Dawley s best effort was a 6-goal spree against Liberty. The contingency of the squad was primarily seniors, but next year's team will include Reddy, halfback John Erickson and fullbacks Dave Bingham and Marvin Feist. This year’s top Junior Varsity prospects include Mike Skibeness and David Vintertun. Girls’ Soccer, in its second year at IHS was a mixture of achievement and growth but also of some dis- appointment. Veteran seniors made up the majority of the varsity squad but Coach Sally Mitchell also re- marked on the powerful support of the juniors on the team. The juniors should provide a strong base for next year's squad. The season held some frustration for the varsity squad. Most of their losses were by only one goal which lessened hopes for a winning year. The JV team, coached by Ms. Jill Welker had an outstanding season. The girls gained a lot of experience on the field which contributed to the improvement in each girl’s playing ability. All in all. the season was one of experimenting to find what worked well and of dedication to the team and each other. Girls’ soccer is here to stay! 2.
