Providing Future 1. Donna Appleby puts the finishing touches on a Christmas Poinsettia at Shannon's Rowers and Gifts. 2. Opportunities The Pre-Vocational Program at Inglemoor is set up for students to gain practical working experience. Students in the program work at a variety of jobs in the community half of the day. and complete their required classes the other half. The Off-Campus program gives students an opportunity to see what they would like to do. and learn things they would not get out of class. Three teachers supervise the program; Ms. Sheri O’Shaughnessy. Mr. Ellsworth Turple and Mr. Doug Boyce. Ms. Sheri O’Shaughnessy says their jobs are to go around and visit the students to make sure they don’t “spend all the time sweeping floors.’’ Students are also required to fill out forms on what the job is like, what theydo, and what they have learned from it. Jobs included in the program are everything from dog grooming, child care, and auto wrecking. Students seem to like the program. They agree it is a good experience. Off Campus 53

A Note of Distinction Joe Bynum Don Hedstrom The I.H.S. Music Department was one of the fastest expanding areas at Inglemoor. With a student-teacher ratio of about 100 to 1, all three conductors were kept very busy. Mr. Don Hedstrom, department head, not only had his hands full with his usuals: Choral. Concert Choir and Swing Choir, but he also had a heavy schedule which included working with the musical and assisting with the bands. Band director, Mr. Gerry Marsh, put into shape the Concert, Stage, Symphonic and Marching bands along with the Jazz Ensemble. The department had another successful fund raising year selling Mr. Z’s cheese and sausage. Mr. Joe Bynum spent fourth period at I.H.S. with the Orchestra rehearsing them for their many concerts throughout the year. Gerry Marsh 1. Mr. Don Hedstrom holds a captive audience in Choir. 2.
