A marked increase in enrollment and a lot of enthusiasm started Inglemoor’s Foreign Language Department on the way to a successful year. This year’s staff, which included a new addition. Mrs. Carolyn O’Keefe, set down guidelines reflecting what the department as a whole should strive to accomplish during the school year. These included activities which involved foreign language students as well as the whole student body such as International Weekend. During Open House people were made aware of the need for foreign language and the benefits of taking a language. Finally, to increase the appreciation and acceptance of the differences between cultures, no matter where they were found, classes continued their usual cooking and singing units, films, guest speakers, field trips and other cultural activities.
