50 50 Season For Junior Varsity The Junior Varsity team had a tough season, winning 4 of 8 games. The team played well, holding their opponents to an average of 7 points a game. Inglemoor scored an average of 12 points per game. IHS will be well set up for a victorious 1979 year with a strong back field, and with Jack Siemering and Tim Micklos returning split ends. The Sophomore team had an excellent 1978 year. They won KingCo in the Sophomore Div- ision with a lot of spirit. There are many good sophomore players with potential that could play varsity next year. The coaches for the winning season were A1 Holmes and Jim Moore. Coaches „ . Jim Sampson. Bill Jensen, Jim Moore, A1 Holmes Dick Yonck. 1. Brad Griffith runs for a few more yards ... in his own style. 2. Jeny Walrath fights for a gain against Juanita. 3. Vikings Hold Crown Another Year 4. Viking Defense prepares against the Redmond Mustangs. Inglemoor’s 1978 Varsity football team won the Crown Division Championship for the second consecutive year. The Vikings completed their season with a record of 6-2. Inglemoor’s loss against Shoreline was a non-conference game. The team tried their best against Interlake for the KingCo Championship, but lost the game on the freezing turf at Seattle’s Memorial Stadium. Winning recognition from all the KingCo teams for Inglemoor were Wayne Horton. First Defensive Lineman; Bruce Schulz, First Defensive Linebacker; Mark Heying, Second Offensive Tackle; Brian Russell. Second Quarterback; Kevin Morrison, Second Defensiver Secondary; and Tim Micklos, Second Split End. Honorable Mention went to Anthony Smith and Dave Allemeier. Coaching this year’s Champs were Head Coach, Jim Sampson and Offensive Line Coach, Dick Yonck. Bill Jenson coached the running backs. Defensive line was Rex Wilkins. A1 Holmes and Jim Moore coached the Sophomores, who won KingCo in the Sophomore Division 1. Dave Allemeier and Mark Heying open the hole for Brian Russell's handoff to Rod Rayburn. 2. Vikings left a trail of Cougars behind and went for the score. 3.
