“The Creature Creeps” onto I.H.S. Stage 1. Daisy (Jenny Goldworthy) enthusiastically tells Frank (Tracy Walloch) about the castle. 2. That's close enough. says Heinrich (Alan McKnight) as Mord (David Rice) approaches. Talent once again flowed this Spring as the Drama Department en- tertained many audiences with The Creature Creeps,” a three-act comedy written by Jack Sharkey. The plot involved a “mad scientist and his assistant who attempted to conduct a secret experiment in a Tran- sylvanian castle. Their plans were al- tered, however, when the scientist’s not-so-bright daughter dropped in with her American companions. The doctor’s experiment was near comple- tion as villagers dropped in and fiances disappeared only to find out in the end that the joke was on everybody. This fast-paced spoof on every horror story ever written brought out the consid- erable talents of the cast and their Director, Mr. Hjalmer Anderson. Hill House Haunts I.H.S. “The Haunting of Hill House.” a novel by Shirley Jackson, proved to be a spooky success for the Ingle- moor Drama Department. From Feb. 22-24 to March 1-3, the Si Siverson Theater turned into a ghost-ridden playhouse. In the story. Dr Montague (Alan McKnight),Luke Sanderson (Tracy Walloch), Theodora (Lewann Newcomb), and Eleanor Vance (Diane Lewis) come to the old mansion in search of scientific explanations of the strange happenings at Hill House. They encountered many uncanny events. The house was made even more frightening by the entrance of the stem maid. Mrs. Dud- ley (Karen Skrinde). Following a horrifying incident that left the audience breathless. Mrs. Montague (Shauna Lilly) and her companion Arthur Parker (David Rice) en- tered the scene. Throughout the story, they provided the comedy needed to relieve the audience from the suspense of the plot. The eerie special effects made many weak hearts falter. Smoke filtered out from behind closed doors and green lights produced an unearthly stage. The final curtain and the loud applause signified the end of the long, hard hours spent in creating “The Haunting of Hill House.” 1. Dr. Montague (Alan McKnight) reassures Eleanor (Diane Lewis) that everything will turn out fine. 2. Eleanor cowers in terror as ghostly green smoke filters into the room from under the door. 3. The cast of 'The Haunting of Hill House Is from left to right, Tracy Walloch. Lewann Newcomb. Karen Skrinde. Diane Lewis. Alan McKnight. David Rice and Shauna Lilly. 4. Arthur Parker (David Rice), and Mrs. Montague (Shauna Lilly) discuss the demons that haunt Hill House. 5. Dr. Montague (Alan McKnight). Luke Sanderson (Tracy Walloch) and Theodora (Lewann Newcomb) try to calm Eleanor (Diane Lewis) after a frightening experience.
