Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend! Consisting of 14 enthusiastic and spirited Vikings, the 1979 IHS Softball team possessed plenty of youth and talent. Al- though some members were plagued with injuries, the team was always optimistic and high-spirited. In his first year as Softball Coach at Inglemoor. Ron Romanick felt that the girls were enthusiastic and competitive. They set their goals high and worked hard to reach them. Assistant Coach Joyce Lyons added that while the team is young, many of the members have quite a bit of experience. 1. Many couples had a memorable evening at the Senior Ball 2. Seniors had a great time on Blake bland for their Senior Breakfast. 3. Commencement for the class of 79 took place in the Seattle Center Arena and was a memorable event for all Seniors Enjoy Last Days Together UCUM VILLAqe GOOOTI.MKU EU ® . Indian Baked Salmon The Senior Ball was held April 28th near the waterfront at the Seattle Trade Center. Many couples from the Qass of 79 enjoyed dancing to the music of Reflections. Chairpersons. Pam Blessington and Lorraine Cam did an excellent job organizing the event and everyone who attended had a great time. The Class of 79’s Senior Breakfast was held on May 31 at Tillicum Village. The trip began with the Good Times cruise over to Blake Island. After a hearty breakfast, numerous awards were presented by teachers and students. A portion of the award winners were: The Gassiest Banana: Chris Gordon and Debbie Maples. Most Spirited: Bob Donaty and Gail Taylor. Most Likely to Succeed: Craig Kelly and Suzy Morgan. Biggest Pork: Mark Heying and Jaime McEwan. The exciting day ended with the return trip back to the pier. Commencement for the Seniors of 79 took place at the Seattle Center Arena on June 8th. The event marked the end of high school and the beginning of many new things. Senior Activities 97
