Women ' s Field Hockey The women ' s field hockev team finished their liest season ever, since their in- ception a.s a varsity sport in 1972. The team, led by second year coach Kofie Montgomery ' , posted an 8-5-2 record, finished third in the PS.\C Tournament, and received a l)id to the EAIAW Region- al Field Hockey Tournament at La Salle University. The Indians, who were fourth seeded in a group of .seven teams, lost to Buckneil in the opening round, 2-1. Coach Montgomery ' s team outscored op- ponents this year 27-16, with most of the 16 goals being scored by formidable op- ponents .such as Lock Haven and -Ship- peasburg. Team members Tracy Snvder, Joaime Bnibaker and Donna Long led their team through the season. Snyder, a .sophomore from Kutztown, played left inside and was number one in .scoring with 1 1 goals. Brubaker, a senior from Mechanicsburg, played in the left link position and con- tributed five goals. Long, a sophomore from Palmyra, played right inside, and also scored five goals. Other members of the starting line-up included seniors Mary Ann Klinger (right outside), Sally Porter (left back), Angela Evans (right back), and Chris Foltz (goalkeeper); freshmen Liz Davies (center back), and Robin Turo (right link); and sophomore Donna Lutz, the team ' s sweeper. 222
