In a few days almost three hundred Seniors will garb themselves in cap and gown and receive the highest honor given any student at Indiana. ' During their four- ear stay on the campus these persons, through their studies and activities, ha ■e changed from mere adolescents to men and women read ' to take their places in the field they have chosen. Four years ago a group of nai ' e, awestricken Freshmen wandered about the campus, soon to delight in the enthusiasm of their first prom. As Sophomores they began to try their wings and to merit inclusion in almost every activit} ' on campus. Cultivated suavity, carefree attitude, and pronounced activit - indicated that the group had become the Junior class, as much at ease in the ballroom as in the accustomed classroom. As Seniors the class awoke to the realization that outings, proms, and pleasant associations would soon be memories and that the ' would become members of that great bodv — the Alumni. 38

COMMENCEMENT . . . AN EPOCH IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR The faint strains of an academic march usher the column of seniors across the campus to the commencement ceremonies where the hopes and aspirations of four years are cuhninated. With the speakers chal- lenge comes the realization that the thoughtful care and guidance of the administration and the facult - will he but a memory.
