JOHN BARRATT RUDULPH F. C. had more opinions than anyone else at the Springs. He excelled as a debater and was a VMSC finilist. John dabbled in conservative politics and was interested in community life. “You have your Ivy League Schools ...” COOPER MYERS SCHLEY JR. Cooper was an inconspicuous boy. spending most of his free time in the library, but made headlines with his English Composition score. Fred called Coop his star Advanced Placement PE student. T ROBERT GROVER SHAMBLIN When Ert first appeared on campus, he frightened many seniors. Possibly through sheer intimidation. he was elected mayor his senior year: he was also a member of the basketball and track teams. The only things which overshadowed Shamblins career at Indian Springs were his extra-curricular achievements. 14

THOMAS EDWIN MOODY Solly-Tav fled to Indian Springs to escape the opposite box. Stewart, however, followed him to his lair. Moods was pitcher on the baseball team and sang in the Glee Chib. Rest wishes to Tommy at Vanderbilt. THOMAS BERRY NORTON, JR. The Big A was always expounding around campus. He was co-captain of the soccer team. Commissioner of Protection and a Glee Club officer. Even with 58 pit stops. Norton won the 1964 York Grand Prix in the GT. ERSKINE RAMSAY II Chesty’s house will never be the same after our class’s hairy breakfast. Neither will the class, for that matter. Chest played a sharp game of bridge and was the class jester. We hope Urchin won't ruin his lung capacity by taking up smoking.

RICHARD ALLEN SHERMAN Despite the fact Dickie was Commissioner ot Protection the last half of his senior year, he was still a good boy. He will also be remembered for his quiet behavior in the library. He was a varsity soccer player and a very wise man. ARTHER ROY STARNES Ace’s main interest at the Springs was training his bone. As captain of the Brass Ensemble, he led his team to victory in many contests and ETV appearances. We wish him success at the Eastman School of Music. JAMES MAHAN TANNER, JR. Tans once got Gafford a job in a brickyard during the summer at twenty cents an hour. It is rumored that Tanner owned the brickyard. Al stated his education platform wearing a bur- Sandy blazer and blue jeans. Notwithstanding lis sartorial appeal, he lost the race. “My name is Jim Tanner. I go to Indian Springs School. I listen to WSGN because Tommy Moody does.” 15
