.V. WRESTLING Indian River's I V Wrestlers, coached by Michael Dusch, finished this season with a record of 6 wins and 6 losses. I.R, had five new additions to the team this year. Xavier Solomon, a freshman in the 100 pound weight class, joined the team late and finished with a record of 1 win and 2 losses. Norman Twigg, freshman wrestled mainly varsity this year, but unfortunately lost the only two I.V. matches he wrestled. Norman wrestled at 121 pounds. Tommy Fryberger, freshman at 128 pounds, ended the season with a promising 8 wins and 4 losses. Wesley Taylor, freshman in the unlimited weight class, had a 2 and 0 record. Two of the I V wrestlers this year had no losses: Clarence Gibbs, a junior who wrestles at 140 pounds, had 2 wins and no losses. lohn Coulbourne had 3 wins and no losses. lohn is a sophomore and is in the 169 pound division. Both Clarence and lohn wrestled varsity also. Keith Beauchamp, a sophomore in the 114 pound weight class, won 2 matches and lost 6. Robert Lynch, another sophomore, who wrestled at 121 pounds, had the bad luck to lose his only match. Darryl Tindley, a varsity wrestler at 140 pounds, helped out the I V team with 3 wins and only 1 loss. Darryl is a senior. Guy Morin, a junior in the 157 pound weight class, had a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Rex Powell, a junior finished with a 4 and 4 record. Rex wrestled at 157 pounds. Rick Knox, a sophomore in the unlimited weight division, had 4 wins and 2 losses this season. Mike Terrell, a sophomore, who wrestles the unlimited weight class in varsity, wrestled one I V match which he won. Alvin Taylor, who also wrestles in the unlimited weight division, finished with 3 wins and 1 loss. lohn Middleton, a sophomore in the 187 pound weight class finished with a record of 10 wins,1 loss, and 1 tie. Another wrestler with a large number of wins is sophomore, Mike Phillips, who had 10 wins,1 loss, and 1 tie. Mike wrestled at 147 pounds. Although the I V's seasonal record of 6 wins and 6 losses may not sound too impressive, the team did very well considering the lack of wrestlers to fill certain positions and the tough competition. Our team is still young and we hope that it will continue to grow in the years to come. . ... , - WHEN Va,.Aj
