Forty-nine students returned to l. H. S. to begin their Sophomore year. SO Betty Jane Konter, Don Engum, and Dorothy Schultz were transferred from Cochrane, Milwaukee and La Crosse to join our class. Chosen as our class advisors were Miss Douglas and Mr. Wilcox. The Freshman Initiation was held on November 2, and was based on a Kangaroo Court. During the day the Freshmen had to wear little green hats as another stunt of initiation. Homecoming was one of our first big events of the year and Marion Bautch was our candidate for queen.
