jke juniors! 0 f 953 There never has been a Junior Class like the present classng Best class spirit evern: Very friendlyng etc. These are just a few expressions your editor has been overhearing concerning the present junior class. And judg- ing from the accomplishmentsof this group of l.VV.H.S. students, it must he true. The first major activity of the class was the Sports Dance held on September 25: this was a most successful and enjoyable event. To prove that they had excellent team work the juniors made an all out drive to secure ads for the Yearbook. In this, too, they were successful: securing the highest percentage and winning the class prize offered for this project. November 2, was the date of the Junior Silver Tea held at the home of Lois Kendriclcs. This project as well as all those carried out during the year, was for the pur- pose of securing funds for the two major Spring events ,- the Junior-Senior Banquet, and the Junior-Senior Prom. The Junior-Senior Banquet, held on April 26 in the Minuet Room of the Menger Hotel, is an occasion that will long he remembered hy all who were present. The Prom, Evening in Paris, was the rave of the whole com- munity. Nliniature Eiffel Towers, sidewall: cafes, and other Parisian motifs provided a very realistic atmosphere. It is no wonder that the eighth day of May in the Year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred fifty-three leaves a vivid trace of memory in the minds and hearts of the honorees and their hostesses -- the seniors and juniors of 1955.
