The firsf modernizafion came wifh fhe insfallafion in fhe Tardy Office of new lBM fype eguipmenf. The nexf move was fhe con- solidafion of fhe Tardy Office and fhe Affendance Office info Room IIZ. In ifs presenf operafion, fhe Affendance Office is responsible for processing all affendance invesfigafions and re- ferring all suspecfed fruanfs fo fhe fruanf officer. Tardy cards are issued and complefe records kepf. Parenfs are nofified of all cases perfaining fo affendance. Reinsfafemenfs are issued affer prolonged absence and all fransfers in or ouf of Hyde Park are handled by fhe affendance personnel. ln addifion, fhis office handles fhe publicafion of fhe absence and fransfer bullefins. The reorganizafion was designed and puf info operafion by Mr. James Williams, Assisfanf Principal in charge of adminisfra- fion. lf confinues in force under fhe general supervision of Mrs. Wilhelmina Sloan and Mr. Williams.
