This year's Spring Fling carried the theme Turn Me Loose which was derived from Loverboy's hit song of the same title. The Fling was held May 3 on the football practice field. Several games were played, including a balloon race, tug of war, team food eating, cow chip throw, and a cracker whistle. The winnertsp of each contest received a large M8tM cookie. There was large volleyball tournament which in- cluded 14 teams. The Student Commission hosted a Bar-B-Que dinner. A dance immediately followed in Lockman Hall Auditorium. Preceding Thursday's activities was Spirit Week. Students dressed according to a prearranged schedule on what was to be worn that particular day. Monday was designated as Western Day, Tuesday, Punk Day, Wednesday, Beach Party Day, and Thursday, Olym- piclToga Day. Student Life 19
