THE PUBLISHERS Our Annual Staff began work lacking in experience, but filled with the determination to make the '41 Pierian the best annual ever. Although the problem of raising funds was a big one, it has not been an unpleasant one. For the success of this part of our program, the staff is very much indebted to our advertisers and our subscribers. The staff of '41 was composed of the following: Frank Todd, Editor-in-Chief; Mary Jane Laughlin, Assistant; Thomas Burkett, Business Manager,- Eugene Varin, Assistant; Mary Drake, Senior Class Editor; Doris Garvin, Assistant; Sue Dale Fleming, Undergraduate Editor; Malcolm Cantrell, Sports Editor,- Sarah Monroe, Club Editor; Ruth Butler, Art Editor,- Ada McCaleb, Feature Editor,- Henry Lee Hilson, Circulation Manager; John Kinsey, Assistant; Cowan Havrcn, Advertising Manager,- Brownie A. Holmberg, Assistant; David Bentley, Photographer; Pat Richardson, Assistant; Lorene Wood, Typist; Ben Harbin, Typist; Iva Marie Miller, Typist. Under the splendid guidance of Miss Harriet Bell, our sponsor, and Coach Milton Frank, our financial advisor, the staff has spent many hours planning pages, taking pictures, selling ads, and doing other various jobs connected with the publishing of an annual. Every member of the staff has worked long and hard in order to make the 1941 Pierian the best annual ever. Page Twenty-nine
