NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The object of the Notional Honor Society is to encourage the development of character in the pupils of Huntsville High School, to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, and to promote worthy leadership. The officers are: Thomas Burkett, Fresident; Mary Drake, Vice-President; Ruth Butler, Secretary; and Doris Garvin, Treasurer. Seniors elected into the National Honor Society are June Campbell, Sue Dale Fleming, Howard Hughes, Mary Jane Laughlin, Virginia Mason, Ruth McKelvie, Sarah Monroe, Catherine Nicholson, J. D. Porter, Irvin Taylor, Lennie Taylor, Frank Todd, and Dale Wilson. Since its establishment in 1936 the Society has done much to help the school and we hope that in the future, it will continue to uphold and preserve the high ideals that will make it indeed an honor to become a member.
