Our principal returned to Hun- tington with a new title. Despite his insurmountable tasks as princi- pal, he was able to complete the requirments for a doctoral degree. He is now Dr. Archey. Dr. Archey also received nation- al recognition through his pub- lished article on discipline which appeared in the Bulletin of the Na- tional Association for Secondary 5chooI Principals. He is constantly looking for ways to provide students with meaningful experiences, there- fore his main thrust now is to have Huntington High equipped with a separate auditorium and gymna- sium. Dr. Rose Fitzgerald, assistant principal in charge of instruction, assumed new responsibilities this year. ln addition to securing substitute teachers, engineering in-service programs, and scheduling field trips, she had the task of issuing textbooks and materials and supplies to teachers.
