The Huntington East l-ligh Girls' Physical Education classes are under the direction ol Miss Hazel Sumter. The various sports include basketball, salt- ball, aerial darts, and volleyball. The trampoline, which is compartively new at East High, is also used. Baclc llips and lcnee lalls are well known expressions around school because this equipment is used in both the boys' and girls' gym. Good sportsmanship, dependability and alertness are developed in the sopho- more and junior girls who are required to talce physical education. BOYS' GYM One, tw-o, one two, these are familiar words ot Coach Clark and student teach- ers trom Marshall College urging the boys on with their exercises in the boyis gym. Basketball is a perennial tavorite of all the students. At noon the gym is the scene at a boys intramural baslcetball league which ends in a tournament at the close ot the season. ln physical education, which is required for all sophomore and iunior boys the fundamentals ot good sportsmanship is gained while engaging in the last moving activities.
