During the past forty-eight years since its founding the number of buildings associated with the Institution has multiplied to eight. The teaching equipment has increased in efficiency and the educational qualifications of the teaching staff have steadily risen in due proportion. During these years, hundreds of graduates have gone forth to serve their day and people. The challenge of the future is before us. Great tasks lie ahead if we are to vouchsafe those precious ideals for which our fighting men have been will- ing to sacrifice at great cost and seal with their own blood. Our hearts feel keenly the loss of several of our students on battlefields, but are proud of the unselfish service which they have rendered for the cause of freedom and justice, Many others will return to home and Huntington College when the victory is won. We must not hesitate to push forward along lines which will strengthen the forces of true Christian freedom- - Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. -Elmer Becker. 27
