A wa rds The selection of the Bank of America Certificate and Plaque Winners was made by the faculty, the counselors, and the admin- istrators. Students were chosen on scholastic abilities, in addition to leadership qualities, regards for others, personality, and a sense of civic responsibility. Qualifications to be met by the Certifi- cate and Plaque candidates included 30 semester hours toward the student's major field while maintaining a grade point average of no less than 3.5. Valedictorian - 1971 This year the honor of being the senior to gradf uate with the class of 1971 with the highest grade point average went to Mary Sharpe. The achieve- ment of becoming valedictorian was accomplished only after four years of time spent with conscientous studying.
