Hammocks, air-conditioning, an student helpers were installed in the Staff Room. There was talk of re-routing the Got: Humor Man to the second floor of the new building. This pastime gave way to that 4 jabbing pins in pictures of Advisory Council members-the variety that skipped gaily in Room 202 with a sackful of Cauldron receipts and lisped, Don't you guys ever do ar work? Second semester came, despite everything the Staff could do. VVhile the Upper Cas hunted Easter eggs and lolled on the beach at Bal-there were six haggard heads huddlc over typewriters in Room 202. Editor Mary Ann Lindemuth, affectionately known 1 Simon Legree, successfully convinced staff members that Hthe child labor laws don't appl to you! The results can be seen on the eighteen pages before this one and the ninetj seven pages after it. 10

Few students stop to realize just how important buildings really are to the smooth functioning of life here at l-l.B. VVithout our buildings we would have no place to hang the blaekboards, no Walls to put the eloeks on Qhorrorsj, no ramps to run down, and no doors to sneak in before the minute bell rings. Besides, no buildings would mean more grounds to keep clean. And, in final analysis, they're pretty fine-looking, too. 18
