They see that needed supplies are purchased and that the needs of the individual students are cared for. lt is through them that the student body received its present high standards and good character. .., The eagerly-awaited distribution of the 1951 Cauldron marks the approach of Com- mencement and the close ot yet another school year. What has the year meant to us? Many things. Our diary is filled with the activities of ourselves and our friends. our teams and clubs and organizations oi many sorts. We have had our share of successes, with just enough reverses to keep us human and kindly toward those less fortunate. All in all, it has been a good year here in school. The experiences we have had will strengthen us to face the world with more assurance that the future will be better. RAYMOND M. Milligan. fbfbiafuf It seems like only yesterday we were completing our years in grammar school and here it is 1951. It's been fun going to all the games and dances with the gang and we even had some good times studying together. You'know. some of those seniors really have what it takes! Darlyne Le Bard. Fred Lusk, and Margaret Shepard came through with tlying colors in the Bank ot America scholarship contest and they have the cups to prove it. Then take Beth Mashburn, for instance. She was Editor ol the Highlights. and six oi our other seniors made the Cauldron staff. Norma Morrow was selected lor Editor-in-Chiet and was assisted by Marilyn Huish, lane Spellman. Madeline Sandoval, Iimmy Kettler, and Gary Monroe. Of course the class oiticers aren't to be forgotten: Henry McCann, lane Spellman. Datlyne Le Bard, and Iimmy Milligan. Guess the whole gang's pretty swell and so were the times we had. Most oi us will never forget Ditch Day, the Senior breakfast. Baccalaureate. and. last but certainly not least. graduation night. Zeal: fbiafuf I keep tinding myseli gazing back over the passing years and wondering what the future will bring. For the Seniors. the future is very near. but lor the Freshmen it is sort oi haxy. 'l'hey're busy with their school activities and have no time to worry about the luture. For example. the P.'l'.A. Carnival was sponsored by their class this year. Various committees planned :md organized the Autumn Party, and other gaieties to brighten the term. 'l'hen there were the Freshmen Dances which were held in the gym every activity period. Those were lots oi fun. Perhaps a little more busy than the rest. some ot the Frosh gave their time to the various councils. Beverly Dugger served on the Executive Council while Roger Anthony. Darlene Rider. Ann Bottari. and Bill Lescher held the positions of class officers. Also busy. although in another field. the field ot sports. were Alan Hodges. Gerald Brown. Don Stewart. and Tom Wigginton who all broke records as a result ot their eiiorts. As the years go by. new students will take their places here and will witness. prob- ably. the same happy experiences oi those before them.
