YA Jumors Three years have made an exceedmg amount of dlflerence 1n the freshman class that entered Huntmgton Beach Hlgh IH 1924 those fr sh men were a restless unorganmed body but the present Junlors are closmg 1 year of good steady work and are ready to be efflclent leaders next year We have been very well represented ln the Scholarshlp Soclety all the offlcers of th1s body be1ng yunxors presldent Isabelle Slracusa v1ce presl dent Bessle Roblnson and secretary and treasurer Phyllls Jamlson The 1un1ors have also shown thelr ablllty 1n athletlcs We are carry 1ng our share of merlt on all the teams but especlally ln track where Eu gene Duc Anthony Molllca Angelo Molllca Carl Bergman have won honors for us The 1un1or hard tlmes party whlch was held IH the new gymnasium 'md the new cafeterla proved to be a great success Practlcallv veryone responded to the request to wear costume the varlety of characters rep resented and the ablllty to make up created fun durlng the entlre evenmg The humorous program of slx numbers was well prepared a gypsy dance two readlngs a clog dance a pathetlc proposal and the marvelous walkmg dolls a devlce almost human Most of us felt th1s was the best planned hlgh school party we had ever attended On Rubes Day the yunlors dlsplayed some of thelr or1g1nal1ty Sid ney Schwartz costumed as a canmbal carrled away first prlze for the boys Stella Scott who gave a Straw Man s Dance won first prlze for the best 1nd1v1dual sklt and ln the hlstory contest Mr Hager awarded first pr17e to Anthony Molllca The 1un1or play Bab was the trlumplf of the year dramatlcallv and financlally Many persons who attended from other commumtles ad judged th1s the best produced hlgh school play thev had exer seen The JUDIOYS showed enthuslasm and patlence 1n sellmg tlCk6tS and worked hours that our advertlslng mlght not only be thorough but economlcal W sold more tlckets than have ex er been sold for any other Huntlngton Beach l I' tv!
