It may look like a messy job but Tom Briggs works a project in the Ag shop. Here Dennis Hobson works on a new project in shop. TRADES FOR THE FUTURE The Home Ec. department this year was under the supervision of Mrs. Hostetler and Mrs. Debets while Mr. Pfafman headed the Ag. department. The Home Ec. girls -were busy this year as they planned the annual style sho ' w. The Ag. department grew under the ne-w direction this year and was awarded many high honors. Out- standing students in the two depart- ments were Penny Richards, who won the coveted Crisco Award, and Bob Bowker, who was named Chapter Farmer of the year. Another useful trade learned in Ag is welding. Here a number of boys practice their knowledge. 19

The Home Economics girls prepared a delectable buffet luncheon during class, and then enjoyed the finished product. It looks marvelous ! ! ! Marcia Learned is receiving her Betty Crocker Award pin from Mrs. Hostetler. Marcia richly deserved this award. Congratulations, Marcia! Mr. Hall headed the Drafting and Industrial Arts departments. Under his leadership boys learned many new skills to be used later in life.
