As Science and Math become more and more important in today ' s world our students are studying harder than ever. Under the capable direction of Mr. Miller students study the life sciences, Biology and Advanced Biology. Mr. Black teaches Chemistry and Physics as well as Advanced Math. Mr. Merryman begins students in their study in Freshman Algebra and Mrs. Alter teaches theorems and assumptions in Geometry. Alan Schmidt points out some difficult problems in Geometry as Vicki Snyder looks on. N SCIENCE AND MATH Oh, come now Kirk! Everyone knows that 2+2 doesn ' t equal 5 -- it ' s 6! (Or is it?) The slide rule often provides problems for advanced math students. Here Bill Lucas and Connie Newhouser study the enlarged slide rule for practice. 15 I-

It ' s Physics and Terry Howdyshell looks determined to get his experiment right. Rats are traditional in Zoology and Karen Simon and Walter Green dissect theirs here. Carolyn Mills transcribes souie shorthand for her cla STUDENTS LEARN BUSINESS SKILLS Business students learn their trade under the direction of Mr. L ieberum for typing I, Mr. Fox for typing II and shorthand, and Mr. Sloffer for bookkeeping.
