HfCihu1lb The H-Club was organized this year in order to stimulate and promote athletics in the Humboldt High School. It is also the purpose of the or- ganization to instill a trite spirit of sportsmanship and fair-play in the student body and the community at large. Membership in the H-Club is restricted to those students who have participated in athletics and have won letters in any of the major high school sports. Honorary membership may be conferred on coaches and any other individual qualifying through loyalty, support, and valuable aid to the high school athletics. All high school students are urged to take part in some form of ath- letics during the school year. It is our desire to make athletic participa- tion univeisal rather than for a select few. A strong body is the best foundation for a well developed and active mind. We know that athletics, both in training and competition, build moral fibre, gameness, loyalty and respect for authority. They teach us to think clearly and act quickly in time of stress, or in contest, and they make us more companionable and considerate of the other fellow. In eve1'y-d ly life the wo1'ld demands a keen clean thinking mind a virile bodv all governed bv kindness saneness and courage.
