He has been in education for 22 years. He has served as a referee in juvenile court. He was president of the Lincoln Heights School district before it became a part of Princeton district. He has a life long interest in boxing, fighting as an ama- teur 15 bouts. He touted Africa for the AAU boxing team as a good will ambassador. He has been active in church and community affairs. One of Mr. Williams projects to improve the school has been sitatuion X or Opera- tion Hughes. It is a plan to emphasize classroom attendance. IT. will be remembered by both teachers and stu- dents. Myron Stapanian, the coordinat- ing counselor for the '73- 74 school year, directs the guidance program by assigning counselors duties while work- ing with the administration and evalu' ating the program. He obtained his B. S . in History at the University of Wisconsin. His Master's was received there also. Ms. Chale attended Duke University for two years. She received her B. A . in Psy- chology at Columbia University in New York. She received her Master's at Columbia University's Teachers College in teaching and curriculum. Her hobbies are golfing, swimming, and gardening. She has been a counselor at Hughes High School for 8 years. MS . NATALIE CHALE W MR . DONALD BRUEMMER M3- Estese attended Central State yhere she received her B. S . in Chem- Buy and Secondary Education. She received her M. E. D. in Guidance and Counseling at Xavier University . She did advanced graduate work at U. C. This is her first year at Hughes and she considers it a great challenge. Her hobby is horseback riding. She has a daughter 15 years old. She has been with Hughes as a secretary for six years. Her hobby is ceramics. Ms. Yvonne Reany has been with Hughes for two years . She does all general secretarial duties mainly for Mrs. Wells. She is a graduate of St. Eliza- beth Hospital Nursing School. She administers to the health needs of stu- dents and assists health teachers in dif- ferent health programs . She has been with Hughes two years as a nurse . Her hobbies are sewing and work. MS . ELIZABETH SPARE 52 WQMWWWM At City Wide, students work with W' other students and staff to develop their own individualized programs and . then use the city and its resources to ww conduct their learning. City- Wide's students come from all parts of the city . and use an office at Hughes as a home WW base. A11 subject topics are available. This is the first year for City-Wide which is planning an expanded pro- W gram for next year. Mr. Galvin teaches Behavioral Science and is coordinator for City-Wide Learning Community. He received his B.S. and M.Ed at Xavier University. He's the sponsor of the Public Relations Committee of City-Wide Community. Ms. Kinne attended the University of Cincinnati . where she obtained her B.A. and M.A. degrees. She. teaches various courses such as Folk Dancing , Children's Literature and Anatomy. VW Educaizow The. various vocational courses offered at Hughes range from typing and steno to electronics and construc- tion to list a few. The basic idea behind these classes is to give students the opportunity to experience this type of work while in school because many may be undecided as to whether or not they might want to attend college. But in the meantime. they are gaining val- uable skills that might not only help them in the present but also in the future. These classes are a great chal- lenge but many of the students agree it's worth it in the end. MR. CLIFFORD ENG MI. Eng has attended Miami Univer- sity. Kent State.
