Various Subiecls Offer Praclical Help Teachers of health. physical education. driver training. and industrial arts offer instruction and training important to all students. These subjects fill real needs in their lives. Good health is essential to their happiness and success. A systematic program of hysical education develops vigor and vitality. Prac- tically all students are potential automobile drivers. What they learn in class about handling a car and driving defensively, courteously, and safely prepares them for the future. Richard Krieger Huey Newsom Membership in industrial arts classes is no longer limited to young men. Girls are finding that the classes have value for them, too. New courses have been added to the curriculum- automotive engines and photography. Work in elec- tricity, woods, metals, and graphic arts shops gives students vocational training as well as skills for use in the home.
